خلاصه داستان : فیلمی درباره اعضای خانواده‌ای که برای تصاحب ارثیه مادر سخت‌گیرشان نقشه‌های شومی می‌کشند: یکی از آن‌ها با قاتلی ازدواج می‌کند و با پیوند جنین خواهر دوقلویش، تظاهر به بارداری می‌کند؛ در همین حین، دیگری با بمب‌گذاری، این نقشه را به هم می‌ریزد.

Carolina Rambaldi isn't fulfilled by her three children: Marcello, a lazy do-nothing, Lucrezia, a bossy type who produces a TV show, and Cesare, homosexual and malicious, who's a sociologist. When she writes her will, Carolina leaves her property to the one child who's married and had a child in the past year and a half.

Auguste Maroilleur, an elderly farmer, exploits 400 hectares of crop land with the help of his family, over which he rules with an iron hand. Things go awry the day he discovers one of his grandsons is involved in drug traffic. To make matters worse, the reckless youth has hidden the white powder in the Maroilleur farm. Without a moment's hesitation, Auguste gets rid of the toxic substance but, of course, the mob has different views...
